'Wow! What an ending to Casey Cox's edge-of-your seat quest for justice! Unputdownable from start to finish, this novel will keep readers glued to the page, ignoring anything else they may have planned for the day, until they've fully absorbed every twist and turn.'
'Blackstock proves once again that she is the queen of Christian suspense in this third and final installment of the If I Run series.'
KaraAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5If I LIveMarch 23, 2018KaraAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5If I Live, by Terri Blackstock, is the third book in the If I Run Series. It follows If I Run and If Im Found. It is set in modern day and is filled with suspense.
Casey Cox remains in hiding, running from the law officers trying to locate her and charge her with murder, a murder that she did not commit. But with her face plastered all over the news, it is difficult to disguise herself. Dylan Roberts, a private investigator once hunting Casey, now believes that she is innocent and works hard to expose the real killers. But when Dylans apartment is burned, he knows that his life is now in danger too. Dylan works to capture the real criminals and to keep Casey safe, a task that gets more and more difficult by the day.
I enjoyed this book very much. It was a fitting conclusion to the series. Casey and Dylan captured my heart as they risked everything to expose the truth. I especially liked Dex, a loyal and true friend. I also appreciated the way Dylan and Casey honored God in light of their mutual attraction, even when they had to share a hotel room.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian suspense novels.
I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
MauriKansasAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5If I LiveMarch 21, 2018MauriKansasAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5After finishing book two, If I'm Found, I started immediately on this one and kept reading till I finished it. This is the best suspense series I've read. There are many twists and turns, and even though we've known for awhile who was the real murderer of Brent Pace (the friend Casey Cox is accused of killing, which sent her on the run), there are more involved that I certainly didn't imagine would be. Dylan is still working on the case with Casey, determined to find the truth and reveal it.
Casey is a strong woman, made stronger when she can finally accept God loves her and is looking out for her. Though this is a very suspenseful series and evil is not whitewashed, there is a very strong faith message. I highly recommend all three books of this series
MarbieThe NetherlandsAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Awesome Conclusion of a Great SeriesMarch 21, 2018MarbieThe NetherlandsAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Finally the conclusion of the If I Run series! How I hated having to wait a year each time for the next book, but now finally the conclusion is here - and it does not disappoint! I loved Casey and Dylan and just simply could not figure out how this series could come to an end. There was so much against Casey - and Dylan was not safe either.
You really have to read all books in this series in the right order as it is one continuing story. The whole series is a must read for Blackstock fans and other fans of Christian suspense. Highly recommended!
daischopChattanooga, TNAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5The conclusion of the raceMarch 20, 2018daischopChattanooga, TNAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Wow. This is a book where you must read the first tow books before starting on this one, and if possible, read them in sequential order within a reasonable amount of time. For me, I read each book each year it came out, and did lose some of the details. However, it did not in anyway detract from reading this third book.
Casey Cox has been on the run, trying to survive from a crooked cop. It all comes to an end, with the help of Dylan Roberts, the investigator who was hired to find her.
The book, similar to the previous one, starts off with you running. You are already invested with the previous two books that this one you know is the end. I read this book the very next day that I received it, and devoured it by lunch.
Action packed and intense. Each page I turn I wonder what on earth will be next spin, some of which, I didn't anticipate.
With the book so fresh on my brain, I look forward to sharing with others. It's a fugitive story with the focus on a female. A Christian book, without too much gore or graphic descriptions. There is death which is not glossed over, because this is a mystery involving a murder.
Definitely recommend reading the series if you are looking for an exhilarating sense of adventure within your armchair and a book.
I received this book from the publisher, via BookLook Bloggers. All opinions are my own.
tumcsecTuscaloosa, ALAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5well worth the waitMarch 18, 2018tumcsecTuscaloosa, ALAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It was such a long time to wait for the third and final book in this suspenseful trilogy, but well worth it! When I got into the book such mundane things as cleaning house or cooking meals or even sleeping went by the wayside. Reminded me a little of the TV show of old, "The Fugitive". Casey knows she is innocent, so does friend Dylan, even the dirty cops chasing her knows. She is being framed and she can almost feel their breath on the back of her neck. Even her disguises, that worked for a while, are being "seen through". One of Casey's problems is that she's too nice and helping those she comes in contact with slows her down. But she is the type of person that you care about and pull for and find your heart pumping a little faster each time danger lurks near.
If you haven't read any of these three novels (If I Run, If I'm Found, If I Live) you are fortunate because you can now grab all of them and read straight through with no waiting time! They will be hard to put down once you start, fair warning. Terri Blackstock is becoming one of my favorite suspense authors at a fast rate. Ride with Casey as she goes from place to place buying burner phones and seeking out those that can help her get justice for her friend and her father.
I received a complimentary copy of the ebook from the publisher through Netgalley but was not required to write a review.
