Author/Artist Review

Author: Adriene Law
Submitted: November 24, 2017

What was your motivation behind this project?  My own life started to change dramatically when I started to discover who I was in Christ and how God really saw me. I had spent most of my life believing that I was useless, worthless, good for nothing, and that in spite of accepting Christ as my saviour, I just did not measure up. But those are all lies! When my own life started seeing and accepting God’s truth about me, I started sharing this with others, and then seeing Truth work in their lives too - well it was amazing to see transformation before my very eyes! If I needed this, and those around me needed this, then perhaps others out there in the world did too, and that’s part of the ‘why’ behind “I Am...”.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  The whole purpose of this book is to become aware of, understand and accept our true identity, the identity God intended us to have. No matter where we have come from, what we have endured or indeed done, none of it can keep us from the love of God. He will always see us as He intended us to be, and His perspective is far greater and more powerful than our upbringing, messes or mistakes tell us.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  It may sound strange to some, but I actually read my own book; much like one would review prophetic words and God’s promises. It still reminds me of God’s utter goodness over my own life. When writing it, I was wrecked (in a good way) through the transformational process I had gone through. Often we don’t see what the Lord is up to in our lives until we have been through something. The biggest personal impact for me was, and is, the real up front and personal awareness that I truly do need Him in every single facet of my life, and also want Him there too.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I have a huge variety of mentors and authors who I love. They range from philisophical to very religious and everything in between. What I’ve noticed with everyone, whether Christian or not, is that the roots of their messages can all be found in the Bible, and I think that’s really cool!

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  You are uniquely created with a gift that only you can bring to this world. Grow forward every day and always look up. Be thanful, take reponsibility, and love yourself. You are a marvelous creation!
