Continuing to weep Hal confessed I don't know how to say this but--well--I don't think that God knows who I am--I know that I'm dying but I just don't think that I'm going to heaven when I die. I didn't live for him, I lived for myself.
Who are you? What is it that defines you? Simply asked, what makes you...you? This world gives us plenty of opportunity to create an identity which allows us to be whoever we want to be, and to do whatever we want to do with our life; chasing luxuries, living with addictions, focusing intently on our own self image, and even lying about who we are for the purpose of impressing others. These are just a few of the ways that we can easily find ourselves living this life. But the question is, while we are living with the pursuit to create an identity that is recognized and even applauded in this temporal world, could we be neglecting to live out an eternal identity which will be recognized in the eternal kingdom of Heaven?
Are you living and pursuing a Christ Centered identity, or are you living and pursuing a self centered identity?
