DavidsMomLouisianaAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A great devotion for your son!April 14, 2014DavidsMomLouisianaAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My son loves us reading this at night and it guides our prayers for that night. I love how you read part of the bible, it gives examples on their level (when you don't want to obey but continue to play with your toys, but you know you need to obey).
It gives examples of fun activies after some of the lessons that they can do, etc. It is great for my 5 year old son!

Pros: Great story book with cool cartoon pictures of planes, cars, and boys with swords which sparks my sons interest. Lots of Biblical truths and gets him to think about real life pg. 5 Feed the birds by making a peanut butter bird feeder, pg. 89 True Defender - looking after widows and orphans. And also lots of pretend pg. 21 A Boatload of Fun - putting chairs together with a blanket on top and think about what to bring on the ark and then "think" about staying there for a week or 150 days like Noah did. Good discussion times. I think this book keeps little boys active and thinking about life and God. I also like the teaching bits on table manners and listening to your parents.
Cons: When I bought this book I thought I was buying my son his first Bible that had devotions in it. This is not a Bible, but more of a story book with some parts of books in the Bible. There are no Bible character pictures. Titles on the pages are not consistent so it is a little difficult to know when to stop for the night (unless you planned it out in advance).
What we did was use those stick on book marks and then read till the kids start to get too tired. So we might read 2 pages or 5 pages. I also gave a review for "God's Little Princess Devotional Bible"
OneNationUnderGodAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5This is NOT A BIBLE! It is a devotional.December 3, 2012OneNationUnderGodAge: 35-44Gender: femaleThis is more of an FYI, as I was misled by the prominent "BIBLE" on the cover that this was a full icb Bible with devotional content; however, it is a devotional with Bible excerpts.

I use this as part of my son's homeschool curriculum. Not only does it have easy to follow Bible stories but it has great ideas for life application that are easy to help him understand at his level.
