The loss of Jim Bakker's empire, his money, his home, and his reputation in the two years leading up to his imprisonment in 1989 was only the beginning. In prison, he was to lose even more - his freedom, his sanity, his dignity, his confidence in his faith, and eventually even his wife. Inmate 07407-058, one-time confidant to presidents, had hit bottom. Jim Bakker was wrong about many things. Exactly what they were and how he came to confess them will surprise and inspire you. This is his story.

This books makes you understand he was human just like everyone else. I believe Jim is a wonderful man of God. He had some very rough spots in his life but God turned his life around for the better. I cried several times throughout the book for him, Tammy and the children. I also rejoiced at the end. I hope at some point he continues his story so we can hear the other awsome stories of how God restored his life, ministry and family. Thanks Jim!

Then I couldn't put the book down & after finishing it, I wanted to ask Jim for forgiveness. You've got to read this book, it'll touch your soul & more!
JJSPC5 Stars Out Of 5November 24, 2009JJSPCInteresting background on Jim Bakker, his family and the former PTL ministry. Whether or not he was guilty of crimes, the man has been through a lot and still continues in ministry, now based in Branson, Missouri with some changes in teachings from the PTL days. All in all, a great book. Give it a try.
