Publisher's Description

Meet Anuahmae. Watch her struggle through abandonment, verbal, physical and sexual abuse. See how ghetto life mixed with low self-esteem, teenage pregnancy, and generational curses on her family, give birth to the rebellion that ultimately led her into various acts of ungodliness. This young girl, like so many others are trapped on the merry-go-round, of "the life style," hopelessness and despair. All is not lost, there is hope. Anuahmae has a loving grandmother, who has already faced and defeated the same demons, that have been unleashed on her. Armed with faith, godly counsel, and love, grandma helps Ann battle rough times and assures her of God's victory. The message in this book is one of hope and encouragement for parents and grand parents, who fight negative self-image, abusive relationships, drug use, and the need for counsel. You will gain insight and triumph over your bondages. Just remember, "what grandma said."

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  I am the mother of seven. I accepted Christ as a young child. As I grew up, He made Himself known to me. I have had many struggles and defeats, but I never gave up on being free from sin. As the result, I no longer struggle to overcome. I rest in the power and presence of the all mighty God who lives inside of me in the form of the Holy Spirit and give me all things that pertain to life and godliness.

What was your motivation behind this project?  I have a granddaughter who was abandoned and rejected. I watched her grow and noticed how the spirit of rejection opened doors for other influences from the evil one. When her life seemed to get on track, I decided to tell her story, with embellishments. I have always tried to imitate Christ and teach children his ways.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  I hope folk will gain a greater insight into the result of the decisions adults make concerning their children. I hope parents will slow down, get out of the fast lane and put their children first. I hope teenagers will realize how negatively their decisions could impact their lives and cause the scheduled success to be delayed. I would like for folk to laugh at life as much as you can, even when you are in pain.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I was impacted by working on this project. God spoke to me in areas that I had no prior knowledge in. I felt my spirit go out to children who are misunderstood and abused who seem to live in ordinary families. To the children who have no one to talk to and wish to die. There are many hurting children all around us and as adults we fail them by not paying attention to them and engaging in conversations with them in a non-threatening way.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  I am inspired by those who are able to write and change the course of their readers' life. To be able to minister to folk who feel as if they are in a hopeless situation is a gift from God. I am inspired even more by orators, especially those who are the oracles of God.

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  I feel this book is great for Christian schools and want to create a religious influence in the Literature they use for teaching purposes. This book has an elaborate vocabulary directed towards stimulating the growth of students. This book is a great tool to be used in Sunday school classes as well. The young and mature; males and females; saved and unsaved; Christians and non-Christians; those who read as individuals and those who read in a group or club are sure to enjoy this work.
