What prompted us to buy this book was that it was written by our favorite Apologist and Teacher who just so happens to have been married for over 40 years! Who better to help with the trip from romantic bliss to profound unbreakable love than a couple who is succeeding in the journey? Jesus is the center of the Zacharias' marriage ... it is obvious and it is his point. We highly recommend this book to every couple, no matter how long they've been married or even if just getting started.

Ravi gets directly to the point of things in 2 aspects: viability and survivability of a relationship. he uses poignant reminders and very personal stories to illuminate the stock of character, passion, and will needed in true romance. it's not a lecture but a guide and an encouragement, eloquently stated, identifiable, and intimately understandable.

Wonderful book about a subject that has many volumes on the subject. As always Ravi Zacharias does not disappoint. Bringing his own life into to the story helps understand the culture of the east better and I love how his brother was married without ever meeting the girl. The fact that marriage is work no matter who you are married to is a good reminder to those who come to this union with little to no preparation for the life ahead. Buy it, read it and give it to someone else!
