Levi Lusko's raw honesty always shines through in his books and this one is no exception. Our emotions can truly turn our thoughts and actions into a battlefield and the mind can overcome the goals you hope to achieve. Lusko relates many anecdotes and memories from this childhood and youth and how they continue to impact him today. Adult issues are often rooted in childhood events as he clearly demonstrates throughout the book.

Sometimes, especially in a season of depression and feeling unworthy, it helps to know that you are not alone. Even though you may not know the other person, it is a relief to know that others struggle --- and overcome the war within. I recommend this book for others who can both commiserate but face their own challenges with a renewed sense of courage to overcome their own battles. Use the tools that Lusko speaks of... Thoughts, Words, Behaviors, and Powers to overcome the thoughts that try to defeat you. Most of all, he points you to our ultimate Hope.

This book is outstanding. The biggest enemies we often have is Me, Myself and I. The author is honest, relevant, witty and Biblical. Extremely helpful, I really benefitted from this great read.

I personally loved this book because of how well written it is Also how heart felt it is, because often times the writer does not engage the reader into personal struggles, which pastor Lusko does in this book, I Declare War has been an eye opener for me as far as what the book was about, The book kept drawing me in and I couldn't put it down once i had started reading it. 5 Stars for me all day every day!!!!

    I DECLARE WAR

4 Keys to Winning the Battle with Yourself

    By Levi Lusko

Something going on in your life that you want to change? Bad moods by day, bad dreams at night or is it fears of something that you want to change. Then it is time to declare war, Levi Lusko will take you through many problems that he has dealt with in his life and offers you a way of handling similar things from your life. He shares his fears and things that has given him problems throughout his life. His writing has Bible verses to help with the spiritual side of your needs and he also uses humor in telling some stories

The book is divided into four sections: Declare war on what you think, Declare war on what you say, Declare war on what you do and Phantom power (the help you need to win this war). Each section deals with everyday things that we have allowed to get us into a bad mood or just plain upset us.

Throughout the book there are quotes about things that we need to work on in our war with ourselves. Here are two ,

"The habits you allow in your life today are going to determine who you become tomorrow."

"The message of the Gospel isn't try it's trust"

I think the book can be a help in dealing with those things that we all want to change and will allow us to see those things differently.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255
