Promise, Texas, has lost all hope. Businesses are failing and the young people can't wait to grow up and move away. Just when things are at their darkest, a mysterious boy wanders out of the wilderness with nothing but the clothes on his back---and a very special message for the townspeople. But will they listen? Dove approved. 93 minutes.
Not really for 6 yr. olds. My grandson was confused and did not watch it. It started of with a woman having a baby and the baby dying. I got it because his name was Gabriel. If it had started off differently he may have wanted to see it. Too adult for him when he is older, I liked it for myself and Grandpa.
I am amazed at the little attention this movie got! And the ratings. Norris at his best, casting and storyline the same. Gabriel was the best pick, as I can't imagine anybody doing a better job. What a beautiful child, (first movie role) which I hope to see much more of, with eyes that chills you, in a great way! It beat my expectations. Inspiring and so hopeful and I found NO slow spots. The message is the focal point, REVIVAL! What this country needs so badly. Had I not seen the previews on another movie, I would have missed this gem. If it were a little less expensive, or sold in bulk, I would buy one for every member in our Church! Do yourself a favor and buy this movie!
