Tell us a little about yourself. Hi, my name is Nathan Bierly and I love the Lord. I have been a Christian since I was 8 years old and during my pilgrimage I have traveled the world, served as anything from a janitor, to an EMT, to an overseas missionary. I have washed dishes, flipped burgers, delivered mail, and saved lives. And I wrote this book. What was your motivation behind this project? My motivation for writing this book was to give men a map, a guide that they could follow to better love their wives and lead their families. I want to see a generation of real men of God rise up to lead as Jesus would have us lead. This book then is a compass, a map, a guide to a better marriage and life.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that they will gain a better understanding of the Lord and who he is in our lives. I hope they will gain a freedom to love as Jesus loves. I hope they will find life, and have it to the fullest.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It helped me to look again at myself and ask myself if I was living the truths that I was writing to others.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? First would be Jesus himself. He was the main source of truth and my main influencer. But I also used references from great men like C.S. Lewis, John Eldredge, and Joseph the Carpenter (father of Jesus) and I looked at times to other greats like Yoda, and Captain America.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: If you seek him you will find him, and he will lead you through the waste places and deserts. And he will guide to places of rest beside still waters, and waters of grand adventure. He is our ultimate peace, greatest challenge, deepest love, wildest passion, and most of all, our most amazing life worth living.
