David L. Thompson, Ph.D., is the F.M. and Ada Thompson Professor of Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary. He holds degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University, Asbury Theological Seminary, and The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Thompson is an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church and serves as a bivocational minister of worship and pastoral care. He and his wife, Edith, are the parents of three grown children.
