The women have exteriors that seem strong to outside observers. One is a gorgeous fashion model. Another is a best-selling author. Yet another has been a hotel director of guest relations. But it is the widow among the group who has borne the most pain and who has the greatest wisdom to share. Together, the women discover avenues to forgiveness, personal acceptance, and genuine friendship.
Hurricanes in Paradise has the potential to offer a captivating plot and an interesting storyline, however, the execution is sloppy. Clichés and worn out metaphors plague this book. The dialogue is rather flat at times, the plot conflict resolutions are a bit too pat, and the spiritual emphasis is a secondary concern, taking a backseat to interpersonal relationships and lightweight psychology. The book is entertaining and nicely-paced, but it isnt the thought-provoking revelation that a book about womens relationships should be. Bethany E. Sievert, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
Amanda4 Stars Out Of 5Fun but with depthAugust 21, 2017AmandaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a fun story that follows 4 women who are each dealing with their own issues. As they are drawn together, they work through them and learn lessons along the way. It was very touching and sad at times but also super sweet and funny. I adored each character, they each had distinct personalities and were easy to picture and felt like old friends. By the end of the book, I was wishing I could be friends with these ladies. Overall, it's a great book that goes deep. Highly recommended!

I was not disappointed. This was the first book I have read by Denise Hildreth and I quickly became a fan. The story was well written with interesting characters. I had a hard time putting it down. The authors writing about the setting was wonderful and I felt like I was right in the middle of the spectacular Atlantis resort. I really enjoyed all the twists and turns to the plot that kept the story fresh and unpredictable. A must read for the summer!

The story made me laugh out loud at times and weep at other times. It clearly portrays that healing comes through God and His love working through others. I look forward to reading other novels by the same author. I have already recommended it to friends.
