HUCKLEBERRY FINN Always in a bind, Huckleberry Finn (Ron Howard) has learned to think on his feet. When his drunken father kidnaps him, Huck fakes his own death and escapes down the wild Mississippi. While on the run, Huck teams up with his old friend, Jim, a slave headed to free territory. Together they encounter every kind of adventure imaginable—from a hoax involving a pair of lying crooks, to hunters looking for the runaway Jim, and even a dangerous escapade with Huckleberry's pal, Tom Sawyer.
THE PROUD REBEL
After his son, David, goes mute following a tragedy, John Chandler combs the country in search of a doctor who can help him speak again. But when John must repay a debt to a female farmer, the Chandlers' trip is put on hold as they work in the fields alongside their talented and loyal sheep dog, Lance. When John receives news that a doctor may be able to help David, he is happy to find a cure but concerned about financing the trip. Now he must make the difficult decision between treating his son or preserving the friendship between the boy and his dog.
Jacob McKay is only 14 years old when his family heads West in 1850. Their journey is halted by a bear attack that destroys their wagon and forces them to set up camp in the Rockies, where they meet a medicine man and a mountain man. Jacob, inspired by their knowledge of the land, sets out to learn their ways. His new survival skills will be put to good use—especially with a giant bear called Walking Thunder on the prowl.

MargeChicago, IL4 Stars Out Of 5Huckleberry Finn Includes/ Walking Thunder / The Proud RebelSeptember 9, 2015MargeChicago, ILQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Huckleberry Fin: I was very disappointed in how the story was presented: the acting and especially the graphics in between scenes. I would not recommend this movie.
Walking Thunder: Was a good movie that showed the difficulties that early settlers had to face and how people need to depend on others at times. More important was how different relationships developed and grew between parents, a mountain man, a medicine man and young boy.
The Proud Rebel: Was a EXCELLENT Alan Ladd movie that I hadn't seen. The story line was great about a mute boy and his dog, the trial of a father seeking a cure for his son, and a independent woman who helps them in the process. The acting by Alan Ladd, Olivia de Havilland and especially Alan's son David Ladd was outstanding.
I highly recommend this movie!
