I would recommend this book to someone who needs to understand how someone else deals or has to deal with depression.

At first I was skeptical about LaHaye's book because the feel (the paper used and the printing) was of poor quality.
Once I got past the initial feel of the book, it offers a lot of wonderful advice on depression and anxiety, dealing with it, why we struggle with it, what God's Word has to say about it, how living a life through Christ can help win the battle, how positive thinking can be very beneficial, and a whole lot more. It's a very helpful book that can be referred to time and time again.
Beth Kroll5 Stars Out Of 5September 11, 2008Beth KrollI read this book years ago and it was the key to winning over depression. Excellent book. Since then I have bought several to give to others to help them learn how to manage depression and conquer it. It's an awesome teaching and I recommend it to everyone.
Mary Allen5 Stars Out Of 5December 17, 2007Mary AllenI read the original book and followed the instructions. It took some time but I was able to completely come out of depression using the instructions in this book and through a great deal of prayer. I highly recommend it. I give away many copies to those I see need it.
