This unintimidating little book is a fantastic introduction to solid, conservative hermeneutics. I find that many believers, even those who have been involved in the local church for many years, have never been taught how to properly study the Bible for themselves. Many texts are dense and overly academic--this one is not. It does not scare away the new follower of Jesus, but may even have some great insight for the seasoned believer.

We are reading through this book as a Bible study group. It has good information that leads to interesting group discussions as we read and look up the reference verses. We are all at different places in our christian maturity yet we all find it very helpful.

I have read the Bible several times during my life's journey. I recently received a request from a very close family member to help her learn how to study the Bible. Where to begin this very valuable but also challenging task is at the center of my thoughts. This simple little book is a common sense and rewarding approach to studying the Bible. We are now both reaping the benefits of Gods Holy Word! I would recommend How To Study The Bible to any Christian, new or old, who wants to read Gods Word through the difficult times we are all facing!

I like that the book encourage believers to depend on Holy Spirit, and tells us to be purposeful and gives example of the Berean Christians in Acts 17:11, who "search the Scriptures daily. I've started viewing studying the bible as spending time with God.
