Nowhere is it more evident than in House of Secrets. You see fragile relationships on the brink of destruction because of mental illness, pain and misunderstanding arising from ignorance and avoidance of the truth. While most of the story was raw and delivered some sharp twists, the romance side of it was kind of cheesy. It was glaringly simplistic in a world of complicated relationships. Without that part, I would have enjoyed the complexity of the story more.

Could have been made more real

I have never read a Tracie Peterson book, but thought I would give one a try. I sat down for a break on Sat. while cleaning house and couldn't put the book down. The story was intriguing and biblical truths such as forgiveness and God's sovereignty were beautifully protrayed. I finished it in one day and wish I hadn't read it, so I could read it again. What a great read!
