This is our 4th year using Horizons Math. I've always enjoyed Horizons spiral approach so that the material that is learned never seems to be forgotten throughout the year. Because of this, I was a little shocked that book 1 begins with a great deal of review. I know that some things can be forgotten over the summer and a review may be needed, but I think that there is a bit too much. At any rate we may pick up the pace if we do not need the review. I still love this curriculum and would never think of using anything else.
