My son, 7 years old and 1st grade, loves this program. He says it's the colorful pages and the "easy" work but I also know it's because it's a spiral program. That is, as he learns new processes it also reviews past problems in the same lesson. So he tries something new AND has a mini-review. Since he understands math well this is good for him because it requires him to spend some time learning the new process but them he's empowered because he does review problems that are easy for him by this point. It's a great way for my 1st grade son to learn. Not all of my kids learn math this way but for this son this program is excellent and I'm very happy with it.

My son is struggling in math. With the help of our tutor, we chose your math program. He now loves math and is progressing very well.

I am using this with my 1st grade son. The lessons are short and concise. The variety and number of problems in each lesson are enough to keep his attention. We often do 2 lessons without losing his attention.

I like how the concepts are repeated throughout the book. I do feel (at least for my son who catches on quickly) that this level is not challenging enough for him. Could this level be below suggested level? To compensate, I often do 2 lessons a day with him.
