Mrs HAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Real SolutionsAugust 23, 2012Mrs HAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This unassuming book isn't flashy like many products out there but don't let it fool you. I didn't have to read through pages of writing that told me what I already new- having a child with learning differences is hard. It gets right to the nuts and bolts of how to help my child and how to help me. It's easy to understand. It's practical. It works. In our home we have dyslexia, add and aspergers and I have used these real solutions with all of them. Thanks to her I stopped pulling my hair out. Because of this book I have bought pretty much all of Mrs. Dixon's guides and curriculum. They are on my must have list for my tool box.
onemotherslove5 Stars Out Of 5September 21, 2010onemothersloveI was reluctant to purchase because of the price. This was confirmed when I received the book - this price is pretty high for 24 pages that look like they were assembled at the local copy stop.HOWEVER - the information contained within the book is priceless. Coming from a mom and teacher with actual experience working with ADHD-type problems, this booklet is a plethora of wonderful, practical tips for success in homeschool. She *tells* *you* *how* to modify the environment, curriculum, presentation, test taking, time management, and instructions in a way that best suits this distracted child. I wish I could thank Jill Dixon in person for this information!
