Jill4 Stars Out Of 5Homeschool PsychJune 10, 2016JillQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0My two oldest took this class at a homeschool co-op with a mom who has a BA in psychology. They thought it interesting, she added to the interest level, and they learned a lot. I am glad for the Christian filter for them in this subject. The teacher admitted some mistakes in the study guide made it sometimes tricky to follow. She used the key to help when that happened. After the class, both of my children passed the CLEP Psych test with a little review using the CLEP Psych study guide. So any trouble finding answers was well worth skipping the class in college!
Donna Seymour2 Stars Out Of 5Homeschool Psych: Preparing Christian Homeschool Students for Psych 101January 27, 2016Donna SeymourQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1I purchased this course for my daughter who is a high school senior and even though she likes the content, she is totally frustrated with the workbook that goes with it. It seems maybe the author was in a hurry to put out this edition since many of the answers don't seem to match the questions. It has caused much frustration and has taken the course that she had hoped would be her favorite and knocked it down to one of the least favorites.
Laura1 Stars Out Of 5FrustratedOctober 2, 2015LauraQuality: 2Value: 3Meets Expectations: 1I am working through this with my son, who is a homeschooled junior. We are on Chapter 3, and we are both very frustrated. He cannot find many answers to the study guides in the reading material. I am struggling as well. While the text book may do a good job of presenting the history of psychology from a Christian perspective, the workbook is frustrating. I was hoping this would be a class my son could work through independently. This has not been the case, and we've been working on it for almost a month.
