ALANA CHERNILA writes, cooks, sells fresh vegetables, and teaches cheese making. She created the blog EatingFromTheGroundUp in 2008. Alana is a graduate of St. John’s College in Santa Fe and lives with her husband and their two young daughters in western Massachusetts, where she is a selectman.

    I enjoy cookbooks and fixing meals for the family that are both healthy as well as economical so I purchased this cookbook for its unique recipes. This cookbook is written in conversational style which is fine. What I didn't expect from a cookbook ordered through CBD is that throughout the whole book a liberal New Age lifestyle is portrayed with language and actions that do not honor God. What prompted me to write a review was that this author uses God's name in blatant vain cursing when describing a procedure for a recipe. Other customers need to know that, for If I had known that, I wouldn't have wasted my money. This is not a cookbook that I would want my daughters to read, nor is it a book that I would want on my shelf. Mine is headed out of the house via the garbage.
