Increase the holiday fun for your children or grandchildren by sharing a holiday story with them.
Holiday Adventures for Kids contains nine holiday stories: Valentines' Day, April Fool's Day, Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and New Year's Eve. Each story is filled with adventure and fun and don't be surprised when a lesson or moral awaits the stories' conclusion.
Children age seven and under would enjoy being read to. However, eight year olds to early teens can enjoy reading the stories themselves.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
This is the third book that the author and illustrator have combined their talents to produce. Nature’s Christmas Story and The Easter Sparrows were their two previous works, and all three books were released by WestBow Press.
The author, Michael J. Larson, is a retired educator of forty-two years. The first thirty-four years of his teaching career were spent teaching high school biology. During the last eight years, he was the coordinator at the Bonanza Education Center where he introduced elementary and high school students to the wonders of nature. Presently he is living with his wife, Kathie, on a small hobby farm where he continues to craft the written word, garden, golf, and entertain grandchildren.
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR:
The illustrator, Janine Ringdahl Schmidt, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1989 from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Her husband is a farmer, and together they are raising their three children, Hannah, Nora, and Nelson. Besides book illustrating, Janine teaches local art classes, organizes mural paintings in her local community, and produces calligraphy art.
Michael J. Larson spent forty-two years educating students about God’s beautiful world as a biology teacher. He and his wife, Kathie, have three children and eight grandchildren. They live on a small acreage in western Minnesota, where the author blogs, gardens, plays golf, reads, and enjoys the peace and quiet of the outdoors. Visit Larson online at www.authormichaeljlarson.com. Larson is also the author of Holiday Adventures for Kids and Nature’s Christmas Story.
