Rhonda5 Stars Out Of 5A Great Truth on SufferingSeptember 21, 2016RhondaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Nancy Guthrie is a gifted author who has brought glory to God through extreme loss and pain. And, for her to share her story so eloquently while remaining focused on God and His goodness throughout this book is masterful. Seven of us are meeting weekly and using this book as our resource to study the Book of Job. We are learning and growing spiritually in the difficult area of suffering. I highly recommend this read and study.
SaraCarmel, INAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Excellent Grief ResourceFebruary 23, 2012SaraCarmel, INAge: 35-44Gender: femaleNancy Guthrie provides an intimate look at her journey through grieving the loss of her baby daughter (and the impending loss of her preborn son). The book provides enough personal information for the reader to empathize and relate, but not so much as to overwhelm the reader's own experience. In grieving the sudden loss of my dear father, I found this to be so very helpful and hopeful. Nancy's viewpoints are not opinion-based but are founded on the Bible. This is a quick read - perfect for someone looking for grace and truth from another who has endured a painful loss.

God's comfort is real no matter what our pain.

This book was the best resource that I have read so far on trials and holding onto God through them. This book is not just for someone who has lost a child, but would be helpful in many trials. It is well worth the money spent. Highly recommend it! I bought seven extra copies to give to people.
Deb Weaver5 Stars Out Of 5October 27, 2009Deb WeaverYears after reading this book, the hope I gained continues to strengthen me. I picked this up when my own father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Since then I've given it to others after the death of their loved ones. Nancy's words and thoughts speak to everyone, giving hope, finding gratitude even in loss.
