Great read, especially when you want to keep history exciting as well as know about a very broad range of civilizations and the beginning of recorded history. I don't think the bad review on this book really took the time to read it because on every level the book has been critically praised. History is not often a beloved topic to the younger generations but this book was actually exciting for kids to hear. Definitely 5 stars and as a history lover and conservative Christian mother/instructor, I can honestly recommend this product to like-minded individuals looking for a good read or book to use for teaching the history of the Ancient World down to Constantine's rule of Rome.

    Bad books

This is not a good history book. It's boring and not well written. After trying it for a week I had to order another history book for my history loving student.

Do yourself a favor and do not order this!!!

All Christians should be interested in history. This is true because Christianity is well grounded in history, without historical facts such as if Christ be not risen our faith is in vain. This book provides a great background to the OT era. It includes the latest finds and for Bible students and laypeople alike, this means that we can trust the OT as we have it today.
