Liz on Love1 Stars Out Of 5Wish I had read reviews before wasting money!March 28, 2018Liz on LoveQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1Author is no doubt a WOLF in sheep's clothing. Beware! Totally worldly chauvinistic venomous non-Biblical pretzel-twisted view of marriage that can do nothing but destroy relationships. I really feel sorry for this guy's wife. Bet she could write a riveting book on marriage if she were 'allowed' to. Author purports to be a Christian but there were no references to scripture passages on marriage or exegesis of same. Instead of wasting your precious time on this I highly refer you to Larry Crabb for solid Bible based books on marriage.
dK1 Stars Out Of 5MisogynistAugust 13, 2015dKQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1As a man, I'm offended by the gender bias in this book. As a married man I'm disgusted by the line this book takes. As a christian I'm disappointed that there are those among us still clinging to the Old Testament lines that perpetuate a patriarchal society. This. Is. Garbage.
Here's a quick summary:
Men: Don't feel or have emotion, you are a sex crazed provider and it's your job to take care of everything outside the house. Your health, fitness, and attractiveness are something women should learn to enjoy regardless of how much you let yourself go.
Women: Don't be yourself or true to yourself, you are a sex object that must change to meet the ideal your husband desires. You clean the home while working out to maintain that 18 yr old body type before enjoy all of your husbands favorite activities.
Cas1 Stars Out Of 5disappointedFebruary 4, 2015CasQuality: 5Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I bought this book for my husband and I to read together as we were going through marriage counseling... This book had such great reviews and I was so excited to put this book into my husbands hands... He hated it, he could not resinate with it since 90% of the book made constant references to adultery and affairs.... I understand that is a VERY real problem in marriage but that was NOT our problem in marriage.... this just was not the book that would help bring us closer to the lord as a couple... Iv read many GREAT marriage books since then and because of this book he won't read any of them with me...
