Series: Romancing America
Travel to the plains in three North Dakota romances where dreams grow big and hearts are drawn to love. When coffeehouse owner Jake shows interest in Angel’s Roost gift shop owner Tess’s angelic wares, Tess wonders about their future—and what Jake really believes about angels. Lily has suffered a string of devastating losses. Maybe helping rebuild flood-destroyed Wildwood will revive her dreams, too. When a sale ad for a defunct North Dakota resort blew up against Olivia’s Boston-bound car, it caught her attention. . .then her determination to bring new life there again.
In first grade, Janet Spaeth was asked to write a summary of a story about a family making maple syrup. She wrote all during class, through morning recess, lunch, and afternoon recess, and asked to stay after school. When the teacher pointed out that a summary was supposed to be shorter than the original story, Janet explained that she didn’t feel the readers knew the characters well enough, so she was expanding on what was in the first-grade reader. Thus a writer was born. She lives in the Midwest and loves to travel, but to her, the happiest word in the English language is home.

HIGH PLAINS HEARTS
By Janet Spaeth
This trilogy of romantic shorts are all set in North Dakota, and the Author does a good job of revealing some of the lovely and unique facets of North Dakota. This book is a simple, but not complete introduction of single life seeking love in North Dakota. The Plains are diverse, and have unique personalties, just like each of these love stories. Set in modern North Dakota, we have three unique heroines, a single Businesswoman who follows her passion for angels, a single widow-Mom seeking healing and safety, and a single Career woman following her inspiration and her heart, for a change.
Three very different women, three very different lives pre-North Dakota, and three very different paths to love in NDakota! I do have a favorite of the three-but its close! Nice job on the secondary plot of reasons why woman would enjoy being North Dakota today-besides the current job openings. Id like to read what else our Authoress Janet Spaeth has to say about the Plains.
