This is by far my favorite book outside of the Bible. I have read this book more than 5 times and each time I read it, I can't put it down. I get something new out of it everytime I read it. I love this autobiography.

This is my second book, The Hiding Place which was purchased for a nonbeliever to read Corrie Ten Boom's testimony and her history and the awesomeness of trusting our God Who is all-powerful then and still is and always will be.

Although it chronicles a turbulent time, The Hiding Place is probably the most inspiring and faith-filled book I have ever read. I have read it countless times. The light of, and hope of Jesus shines through this family and we can learn from them today. Realize that our times are in His hands and if we trust Him, He will give us the strength to overcome and be victorious. Our God is all powerful and there is nothing that He cannot do. If I could put this work into the hands of every born again believer in Christ, I would. That's how strongly this book has impacted my life.

From the beginning of this book, a time so different from ours is captivating. The simple life. The joy of family, the trust in God. By the time the family is tested and proves the foundation of faith and love has surely taken root you are theirs. The Lord works in very mysterious ways, and many lessons are taught. Most of all that if we can see with the eyes of Christ, the secret that the Apostle Paul learned is ours to be had. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. God is still saving souls through this story of overwhelming courage, forgiveness and hope in the gospel through Jesus Christ. I love the Ten Booms and the God of Israel who has saved me too.

This book is an amazing read. Have kleenex on hand because it is a bit emotional too. Corrie's family was just incredible and brave and truly relied on God.
