MikeMontanaAge: Over 65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5The Hidden enemyMarch 21, 2018MikeMontanaAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I believe one has only to look and listen to what the national dialog has eroded to , to grasp the chasm that identifies our country on this very troubling issue. Michael has, I believe, been able to construct a very clear and honest appraisal with irrefutable fact to back them up, in stating what can happen in America and the world in general if we continue to turn a blind eye and deaf ears to the threat of Islamist/Muslim extremist. If you stop to think about it, for many years there has been a unanswered question floating around, " where is the USA in Revelation"? I believe the answer is staring at us in the historical facts and realities of the contents of this book.
I also believe if a person buys into the current cultural, revisionist history and current political thinking and happenings, this will be a very difficult book to read. If however you maintain and aggressively adhere to a Biblical worldview and truth, you will gain much insight, factual information, and be encouraged tremendously . The "dots" have been there for many years, and Michael has connected them with honesty and compassion. Let the reader beware.
fairytaleblue3 Stars Out Of 5Freedom of Speech at risk?February 22, 2018fairytaleblueQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it (Voltaire).
It's imperative to ponder this statement while examining Dr. Michael Youssef's book, The Hidden Enemy. Dr. Youssef examines the breakdown of the freedom of speech on university campuses, the malaise of media, the increase of violence (which he attributes to groups such as ANTIFA), and how it is all linked to aggressive secularism within every aspect of American society. With a unique perspective, having grown up in Egypt and witnessing oppression for his faith against a backdrop of radical Islam, Dr. Yousseff sounds an alarm over what he sees as diminishing freedom for Americans and how to counter such infringements on human rights.
Much of the book was a repeat of news stories I had already read during the past year. He points out a disturbing trend in society submit or don't speak. When an individual is not allowed to express views, oppression occurs. Dr. Yousseff gives countless examples of this (well documented, I might add). This antagonism affects everyone...regardless of political views, and hence, the book is worth reading and evaluating at the reader's discretion.
I was given a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for a review.
Milk Donor MamaOhioAge: 25-34Gender: female1 Stars Out Of 5The content is totally ridiculousFebruary 17, 2018Milk Donor MamaOhioAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1The Hidden Enemy: Aggressive Secularism, Radical Islam and the Fight for Our Future by Michael Youssef is an extremely conservative view of current events. While the back copy refers to "suicide bombers attacking our cities" (since when?), the book goes into workplace and public shootings. The author places the blame for all of this on Islam and on "secular" political leaders in the United States.
The last time I checked, the (conservative Christian) Republicans were in charge here. I don't see any "aggressive secularism". I do not see Christians "browbeaten into silence." I believe that this author is simply trying to promote more of what we've had, which is a Christian patriarchy. The United States of America has no national religion, it was founded for that very reason. The author seems to have failed to read the Constitution of the United States in lieu of spending all his time on the Bible. Perhaps he feels the Bible is the only book he needs, but in the USA, we adhere to the Constitution.
I have nothing good to say about the content of this book. I would not recommend it to anyone.
