Through the use of beautiful animation, the temple is reconstructed and we are brought within its precincts to identify with the experience of those living in Jesus' day. We also are confronted with the horror of the fiery destruction of the Temple by the Romans in A.D. 70. Through it all, we come to appreciate the central role of the Temple in the life of first century Jews and Christians.

It does not illustrate the temple quite as well as I thought it would. The author believes the Church has picked up where the temple left off so there is little or no belief that the temple will be restored in the future. It does have some authentic Jewish music as a special feature.
Al C. Willett5 Stars Out Of 5January 9, 2008Al C. WillettA very nice computer animated reconstruction of Herold's Temple the one that Jesus and the Apostles had known. Not as polished as some other computer renderings but a nice 30 minute presentation. Extras include a model of the temple, music, plus an interview with Dr. Frederick Baltz, author and temple scholar who also provides background information and a computer rendered layout of the temple throughout the documentary. This will make a worthy addition to your reference library. It is worth its weight in gold to be able to visualize the temple during the first century period.I would also recommend Jesus: The Complete Story ISBN: 0-7907-9985-5 a 150 minute documentary which has excellent computer renderings and can be purchased at Amazon.com.
