I would recommend putting this in a bright lighted area, you can barely see the calf and the picture. It is an amazing picture though

I bought this as a birthday present for my mother-in-law who loves cowboy/western art. She was thrilled with it.

I ordered this framed-behind-glass print for myself because I loved the idea of the grizzled cowboy clutching his lost calf under his arm as he carries a lantern and rides his horse through the storm. (So symbolic of Jesus rescuing His lost lamb) The scripture on the print says, "I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." ISAIAH 46:4. I have many inspiring paintings, signs and plaques all over my house, but this particular one is special because I can picture myself as the "lost calf" and know that I will always be found.

The picture is intriguing and the Bible verse very comforting and not one of the better know. It something you can gaze into a long while and just feel God searching for you when you are lost, scooping you up, keeping you warm and safe, taking you back home with him.
