KavRCanadaGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Love this series!March 9, 2018KavRCanadaGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I can't even tell you how much I love this Alaskan Grooms series! Each book reads perfectly well as a standalone but I love the page time shared by favourite characters from previous books. Readers get to see how previous heroes and heroines are faring. Not to mention the beloved secondary characters who are the backbone of this town. Like the irascible Jasper and the indomitable Hazel. Those two crack me up every time!
And at long last we finally get Honor's story. She's practically town royalty and the cosseted little sister of protective older brothers. But even their fierce loyalty couldn't protect her from teen-age heartbreak when she fell head-over-heels-in-love with the town bad boy in high school. It didn't end well and even though years have passed, Honor's heart hasn't quite recovered.
And then Joshua shows up in town. Older. Wiser. Dedicated single dad. He takes her breath away all over again but their future looks murky when they find themselves on opposite sides of a town issue. Romantic tension abounds and my heart hurt as Calhoune slowly peels away layers of hurt and mistrust and reveals the sweet promise of a second chance happily-ever-after.
CherylB19875 Stars Out Of 5WonderfulFebruary 27, 2018CherylB1987Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Her Alaskan Cowboy is a Love Inspired book by Belle Calhoune. This is the best book that I have read by Belle yet. She sure knows how to write a story that makes you feel like you are part of it. Characters and a story line that you will love. I wish there was going to be more in the series it is that good.
Melissa P5 Stars Out Of 5Great end to a great seriesFebruary 27, 2018Melissa PQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I loved this book so much. I think it's my favorite of the series. I really would love to see these novels picked up by The Hallmark channel. They would make a great tv or movie series. Belle Calhoune has never disappointed me yet and she knocks it out of the park again!
The last stop in Love, Alaska brings us a love story all about second chances. Honor Prescott is the only Prescott sibling still single. All her brothers have married and have families of their own. She is happy doing what she loves working at the wildlife reserve, but hopes for her chance at a real love like the one she had 6 years ago when she was a teenager. Joshua Ransom has come back to Love, Alaska after being gone the last 6 years. He left as a reckless troublemaker teen, but now has returned as a single dad who has made something of himself in Seattle. His grandfather Bud recently passed away and he and his brother Theo have come home to their hometown to honor him and deal with their inheritance. Even though it's been 6 years and they now find themselves on the opposite ends of what should happen to the Diamond R Ranch, it's hard to deny that there just might be something still brewing between them. Can they put away the past and their recent differences to find the love that never really left either one of them? Read the last book in the Alaskan Groom series to find out. You won't be disappointed!!!
I'm so sad to see this series come to an end. The Alaskan Groom series is one of my favorites. I've loved each and every love story that has taken place in Love, Alaska. Honor and Joshua's story doesn't disappoint. I smiled and I cried both happy and sad tears throughout this book. A few times I wanted to yell at them to wake up and smell the coffee. LOL I was happy that Honor was finally getting her own story and a chance at happiness ever since meeting her in An Alaskan Wedding. It was a beautiful story of how love can get a second chance and be even better than the first time around. It has a lot of heart. One of my favorite books of the series.
I love this quirky town and all the characters in it. And even though this is Honor and Joshua's story, we still get to spend time with beloved characters from former books. I'll miss this little town and all Love's residents so much.

Two of the families, the Prescotts and the Ransoms, have been connected for many years but some of their past history hasn't always been pleasant. Honor Prescott and Joshua Ransom once planned to marry but her family never approved of Joshua's rowdy ways and painful circumstances soon drove them apart. Now, after being away for six years, Joshua has returned because of his grandfather's recent death and he isn't alone. He has a baby girl with him and this is an unexpected shock for Honor. She also resents that he and his brother may sell his grandfather's land to developers and she vows to prevent this from happening! Her Alaskan Cowboy is filled with disagreements, misconceptions and painful memories but these are eventually erased by the power of love, forgiveness and healing. I loved that many of these characters prayed often in this story and that worshipping God is shown to be an integral part of their lives.
I recommend this book for readers who enjoy heartwarming stories and Christian romance novels and I plan to read more of the Alaskan Grooms series.
I received this book from the author but I volunteerily chose to write this review.
ValriVernonia, ORAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Former Rebellious Teenager Comes Back for Redemption!January 20, 2018ValriVernonia, ORAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I'm so sad that this Alaskan Grooms series is at an end! I've so enjoyed the town of Love, Alaska and getting to know the people that live there! I wish it were a real place! The author has done a fantastic job of creating a lovable town and wonderful, believable characters that readers can fall in love with. The final book is about Honor Prescott and I've been waiting a long time for her book! I have read all about her brothers and friends but I've wanted to read about her back story and then see her get her happily-ever-after too! She's been in and out of other books but I wanted her to have a book of her own! This one didn't disappoint! We knew she had gone to Michigan to college but in this book we found out why she went there, so far from home. No spoilers! She did have an ex-fiance as a young 18 year old, Joshua Ransom, and he's back in Love to say goodbye to his grandpa, who has recently died. Joshua also hasn't been in Love for 6 years and now he has an infant daughter, Violet. I fell in love with that little girl! How precious she is! To see Joshua with a baby is killing Honor. She thought she'd have a family with him by now. However, they are at odds over Joshua's grandpa's land because Joshua & his brother want to sell it to land developers and that just doesn't sit right with Honor!!! She is going to do everything she can to stop that from happening! I loved watching these two argue & disagree, but ultimately, work through what happened to them 6 years ago.
I hope you will enjoy this last book in the Alaska Grooms series! It's a keeper!!!!
