martha pigott5 Stars Out Of 5May 16, 2010martha pigottAs a grandmother I wanted to know how to help my 2 grandchildren as they are going through the nightmare of their parents divorcing. The book helped me look through the eyes of my grandchildren and feel the pain they are experiencing. I cried for their pain yet experienced hope for their future. Above all, it made me realize that I must do everything to make the transition as easy as possible. I gave a copy of this book to my son and his estrange wife. My son said that he wished he had read the book years ago. Personally, I recommend all couples who plan to marry to read this book and think of the consequences of divorce as told through the eyes of the author.

FamilyLawyerNW MinnesotaAge: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Highly recommendedNovember 20, 2011FamilyLawyerNW MinnesotaAge: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5I am an attorney and have practiced Family Law since 1995, exclusively since 2008. This is the best book I have read on the subject of the effects of divorce on children. Dr. Hart provides outstanding insight and practical advice on easing children through the transitions they face. I am adding this book to the "homework" I give my clients with children. Every attorney representing people with children who are engaged in a marital dissolution, parenting time dispute, or, worse, a custody dispute should read this book. Litigation should be the tool of last resort in this area and Dr. Hart shows us why.

It is a straight-forward book that really calls it like it is. Because of this, it is difficult to get through at times. I DO suggest reading it, and since you're here reading the review, you care enough about a little one to help them. This book helped me feel better equipped to handle the daunting task set before me.
