Karen RWAGender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5A lovely collection of gentle romancesMarch 10, 2018Karen RWAGender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A lovely collection of four separate stories, each one with a unique heirloom--old letters, rocking chairs, an old Bible, and a baby quilt--and a tender romance.
"Please, God. Guide my heart and show me the right path, the one you have for me."
The main characters are all people of faith, searching for God's will in their life, serving their families and others in their communities while they wait. Some of the couples were acquaintances, or friends from childhood. One story involved a struggling newlywed couple. I liked this one the best as it had a dual timeline told through old letters. There are some difficult situations involving unwed mothers, miscommunication, and interference from others, making their road to love complicated. I enjoyed all of the stories and getting a glimpse of the Amish faith community, which is something I know very little about. I look forward to reading more from these authors who were all new to me.
Recommend to readers who enjoy gentle Christian-based romances.
