Not only is this a wonderful story, this particular book is hardback and looks great on the bookshelf. If this is a classic you plan to keep, I recommend getting version of Heidi from Sterling Publishing. The price is very reasonable, there is a built-in ribbon to use as a bookmark, the pages are sturdy with clear print, and there is a book cover.

We also have the Jungle Book and Around the World in Eighty Days by this publisher- they all blend in well on the shelf.
