For years I have wanted to get my hands on a Key Word Study Bible, but have never had the opportunity. I have been a fan of the HCSB for several years, and have been looking into the CSB since a fellow pastor recommended it to me. When I heard that AMG publishers came out with a Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translation, I jumped at the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

I extremely enjoy this study bible. Having a built-in dictionary for the original language really opens up a wealth of knowledge to anyones study time. The clear flow of the CSB translation makes this an easy bible translation for anyone to read and grow in Christ. It is good for new believers or more mature Christians looking for something new. The Strong's numbering system is easy to use and brings a new level of understanding to the text.

Along with the Strong's Dictionary, there are a few key study notes found at the bottom of the page for some select verses. These give a little insight to some selected passages. However, I have found myself not using them often, but have been only used it for a short time this may change. Another feature of this bible is the wide margins for personal notes. This is a feature I highly enjoy because I tend to take a lot of notes in my bible.

This is a great resource for anyone at any stage of their ministry. It is especially helpful if you are looking to grow your knowledge of the original language of the bible. This is an easy source to pick up use and make notes in. I plan on using this bible for the foreseeable future in my personal ministry, and believe it will help me grow closer to Christ through His Word.

I had pretty high expectations going into this particular review project based on what I saw from the NASB Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible that I previously reviewed for AMG Publishers. I can honestly say that this Bible actually exceeded my already fairly high expectations in both content and quality. AMG is no longer making the 1984 NIV Key Word Study Bible, so it would seem that this CSB edition is the replacement for the 1984 NIV in their Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible line up.

Much like the NASB and other versions of this Study Bible, this is not the normal Study Bible where you read someone's interpretation of most of the Scripture verses at the bottom of the page. This Study Bible is really geared toward anyone that really wants to dive into the Word of God and study it for themselves utilizing the original Biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek rather than relying on study notes that others have done. Yes, it has explanatory notes at the bottom of the page, but they aren't what I would call Study Notes like other Study Bibles have. They are more explanatory about the original language aspect.

It takes many the key and important words and gives you a reference for either the Strong's information or in many cases, the Strong's as well as AMG Dictionary definitions.

I did notice some differences between the NASB and CSB Key Word Study Bibles relating to the Key Words. One of the first things I noticed was that the NASB version has more words identified in it compared to the CSB. Don't get me wrong - there are a ton of key words identified in the CSB. I just noticed that the NASB has more numbered in the text in a few spots. This is because back around 2008, AMG did some updating to key words used in their translations, but the NASB was not updated, so there are some differences between the NASB and other translations like the KJV, NKJV, ESV and CSB which use the newer updated Key Words.

The tools used in this Study Bible may take just a small adjustment time for someone to get used to, but if you have done anything that uses Strong's numbering system, you will feel right at home. Quality is great, print is overall very good and nicely laid out, I would highly recommend this Study Bible.

This e-book is a daily devotional that gives you a daily original Greek word with a devotional aspect related to the word in Scripture. It actually fits in very well with the Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible.

Comparing both CSB and ESV Editions, it is apparent that AMG Publishers have far-exceed all expectations. I have been a student of Hebrew and Greek now for over 50 years. While these are two different English translations, the "Keys" along with the "key word studies" in the AMG's Annotated Strong's Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries for both Old and New Testaments make it possible for the serious student of God's Word to understand how the translators chose to use the particular English renderings for each translations respectively. This is invaluable for one who is seeking to study the various inflections, meanings, and nuances of the Biblical languages. Not only is new light provided for the grammatical use of all essential key words, all significant concepts take on both deeper meaning and new life. There is an abundance of insights that enables the reader to to grasp a knowledge of God's Word it its totality. Each Edition contains the complete center-column references and textual footnotes provided by the respective translations. I am pleased that AMG has chosen to apparently replace the NIV Edition of years past with the newly revised CSB. The "Optimal Equivalence" translation philosophy is fully enhanced by and uniquely matched with the outstanding features of this Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible. In like manner, the "Essentially Literal" translation philosophy for the ESV is more fully realized in it goal to achieve "word for word" correspondences. In both cases, CSB and ESV Editions, structures of the original languages are brought to more complete expressions. While each translation has it own special characteristics, the Bible Study Helps complement each in ways that allow hidden treasures of God's Word to emerge with fresh power and illumination. Using either (or both) of these Editions, one encounters the Holy Scriptures alone where God reveals Himself and where disciples of the Word must be at home. These AMG Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bibles make it possible for one to have a more decisive, reflective reading of the text of God's Word.

this Bible is beyond excellent. a great tool for the pastor's toolbox. a great tool for anyone serious about Bible study.

I recently purchased a used NIV version of this Bible. I was SO IMPRESSED with the ease in which I could look up both Hebrew & Greek words in the Scriptures. The lexicons and concordances in the back of this Bible make it a real winner for Word Studies of the original languages. There are extremely helpful articles detailing how to get the most out of the Greek language---Voice, Mood, Tense, etc.

YOU DO NOT need to know either language in order to get the full benefit of the words-coded to the G/K numbering system, which is more thorough than Strong's. Though, there is a Strong's/G-K cross reference index in the Bible. If you TRULY want to get into the depth of what God's Word says, this would be a TREMENDOUS study aid. I have already convinced a number of brothers and sisters in my church to own a copy of this very useful and unique Bible. PASTORS! TEACHERS! BIBLE STUDENTS! You NEED this Bible in your library. If you're not a fan of the CSB translation (which in my opinion is VERY good), there are other translation versions available.
