Although the central event of the book is the authors journey to heaven and back, the actual theme of the book is about how God is present in our lives in ways we may not notice. The author, in retrospect, highlights multiple events in her life that cumulatively cannot be coincidence alone. She challenges the reader to look at their life for the many times God provides direction and comfort. The book is an easy read and it is obvious the author is genuine in all of her accounts.
This book was so moving that it was hard to put down. Very real, honest, and emotional. We need to be prepared to meet our Lord and Savior because we never know when it will be our last day on earth. It challenged me to want a closer relationship with Jesus.
I read this entire book and her account does not line up with the scriptures; when in heaven, she did not see anything but etheral beings. She did not see Jesus or angels or mansions, or the holy city. She did not mention Jesus Christ nor point anyone to the fact that eternal life is only found in Jesus Christ and receiving Him as Lord. I would not buy it again - I had seen her on a Christian program and was very disappointed. Hope she gets truly born again.
