Such a low budget film, acting is slightly sad but it is ok...good message, but really, it doesn't seem realistic. I am so glad people want to tell good stories...but hire better actors, or directors, or something...
Cute movie, the "star" was really a little boy and the story did pull on your heart strings. We added it to our church DVD collection. It is definitely a "homemade" movie, the cast is all one family and I found that charming.
My Husband and I could only handle a few minutes of this movie as it is very B Grade and like something the neighbour made with everyday technology, acting was poor and not believable, definitely won't be watching or keeping this.
This dvd actually contains two films(that was one reason I bought it, I saw that from a review like this one: to the producer, tell cbd to make that clear, it will sell better). Both films (Bubble Trouble- hilarious) and Heartstrings show the beginnings of what will probably be a stong career in the Christian film industry. The families involved, I get the impression, are really serious about their faith and their acting is great, for nonprofessionals. Was impressed with the respect they show one another. The production is very low budget, but has a charm all its own, kind of like The Fantastics play that lost its charm when made into a big film on a big budget. The screenwriting is , again, excellent and uniquely creative. Definitely worth the price, but not for you if you like mainstream,' entertain me' films that don't have a moral message. Great job, Heartstrings and 'D.T.' crew.
