Dot1 Stars Out Of 5Journey of the Heart seriesSeptember 15, 2016DotQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1Was so disappointed to receive books that are less than 100 pages a piece, yet sold separately as individual books. So far, the story has not been up to par with what I've come to expect from this delightful writer. The marketing of these stories was misleading. I would not have ordered them had I known they were not full size books.

Each part is less than 100 pages. I've paid $35.94 for one or possibly 2 average-sized books divided into 6 books. This could easily have been printed as 1 or 2 books but might have sold for less than $35.94 since it's not an original but a reprint. Book 2 starts by repeating part of book 1. I'm feeling taken advantage of by a marketing strategy. You might want to wait for a sale before buying this series.
The story is engaging as is usual for Colleen Coble, but suffers from being divided into smaller parts. Parts 1 through 3 seem to tell a story that ends nicely at #3. Then it moves on into a new phase. You need each book to piece together each story.
There's no denying Colleen Coble is an excellent author, but I don't like the way we loyal readers are being treated with these mini-books and the manner of their re-release. I'm going to be very careful with future purchases from this author from now on.

Winter is setting in. Supplies are short and the Indians are being stirred up for lots of reasons. Tensions are running high. If you havent read books one and two then you have missed a lot of story but you can catch up by reading them later. Ben still wants to marry Sarah and destroy Rand and he almost makes it. There is a whole lot going on in the ninety-six pages of story that you are going to want to read for yourself. Sarah and Rand are such wonderful characters and we get so emotionally involved with them it seems as though we have been friends with them forever. This is a fast-paced read filled with excitement, danger and romance. I recommend this book highly!
