Every man was once a boy. And every little has dreams, big dreams, dreams of being the hero, of beating the bad guys, of doing daring feats and rescuing the damsel in distress. Every little girl has dreams, too: of being rescued by her prince and swept up into a great adventure, knowing that she is the beauty.
But what happens to those dreams when we grow up? Walk into most churches, have a look around, and ask yourself: What is a Christian man? Without listening to what is said, look at what you find there. Most Christian men are . . . bored.
John Eldredge revises and updates his best-selling, renowned Christian classic, Wild at Heart, and in it invites men to recover their masculine heart, defined in the image of a passionate God. And he invites women to discover the secret of a mans soul and to delight in the strength and wildness men were created to offer. John Eldredge is the director of Ransomed Heart
John Eldredge is an author, a counselor, and a teacher. He is also president of Ransomed Heart, a ministry devoted to helping people discover the heart of God, recovering their own hearts in Gods love, and learning to live in Gods kingdom. John and his wife, Stasi, live near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Ed1 Stars Out Of 5Not Recommended: Wild "Vulgar, Rebellious, Egotistic" at HeartNovember 10, 2016EdQuality: 2Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I would not recommend this book: it seems the language he uses and the way he writes that men are to be rebellious, selfish, impure, disrespectful brutes. I did not finish reading the book!

Serious Reader5 Stars Out Of 5Serious ReaderJune 18, 2015Serious ReaderQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5Great book which addresses why so many Christian men are just "good guys" instead of change agents in life. Our society and the Church has to a large extent emasculated men and it is time for them to stand up and be the men God wants them to be. Eldredge's book tells them how to do this. Should be read by all. Men can better understand how their past has shaped them to be wimps instead of spiritual leaders and women can better understand God's purpose for men and encourage them to be all that God wants them to be.
