Tell us a little about yourself. I am just a young lady with her heart set on fire for the Lord. And with that same passion I'm just trying to spread the love, grace, and mercy of God through the words He has given. I am just a small ripple in the ocean of life, and I'm hoping that this isn't the ending, but the beginning of God's words spoken to all of us.
What was your motivation behind this project? When building this poem my original intention was just to express my concerns and feelings for myself. I was in a season of my life where I really wanted God to direct my next step. I didn't know that God would take our personal poetic conversations and make it into a book. But, when God shared with me that this was the purpose in giving me the gift of writing poetry to inspire others. He shared with me the title Heart Call to serve as a continual reminder that God is constantly and consistently calling to places we could never imagine. In my case an author.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope that whoever reads the book can not only experience the rawness of the struggles which come with just living, but the fullness that I received in not giving up. I also hope that outside of the poems expressed on these few pages, God tugs on your heart to build a relationship with Him.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I believe I was personally impacted by this project in two ways it allowed me to put more trust in the plan of God rather than the plan I wanted from God, and it also opened my eyes to see that my impact is larger than just me. When you give God the opportunity and space He will expand your reach.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I would like to give the credit for this work to honestly two individuals of course one God, who saw a greater work in me when I didn't see it for myself. Secondly, my parents who constantly stood in my corner of support, gave me the very foundation of faith to build on, and by being that example of what a genuine relationship with God looks like.
