Publisher's Description

Life is full of challenges, troubles, heartaches, and fears--but there is no reason for us to endure bearing these burdens on our own. Not only did Jesus Christ die for our sins--so we may have everlasting life with Him--but He desires that we follow Him, so that we can hear His voice. When life gets hard, we have a Shepherd, our Saviour Jesus Christ, who gives us comfort. When we don't know which direction to turn, He guides us down the right path. When we feel weak and overwhelmed, He strengthens our hearts.

To Hear His Voice: Poem & Devotional Book is a unique collection of twenty-four Christian poems focused on encouraging a true walk with Christ. Alongside each poem is a meaningful scripture, a short devotional, and sweet vintage pictures. Learn how to take your walk with Him to a deeper level through the lovely rhythm of poetry. What a wondrous thing it is to be in His fold, hear His voice, and know when He comforts, strengthens, and guides. There is no greater solace in the world--than to hear His voice. 142 pages, paperback.

Author/Artist Review

Tell us a little about yourself.  My name is Catherine Posey, and I am a poet and an author from West Virginia, where I reside with my husband and children. I have enjoyed writing poetry from the time I was a child and now enjoy writing for my Saviour. I also enjoy homeschooling my children, camping, and taking walks in nature.

What was your motivation behind this project?  After attending a writer's conference with my daughter, a Christian-fiction author, I felt God leading me to put together a poetry book that would help encourage others to walk closer to Him. My desire was to integrate lovely, beautiful vintage images that would bring others enjoyment along with reading the poetry and devotionals. My love of vintage images came from a 20+ year hobby of selling antique paper, including victorian trade cards and postcards.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  My greatest desire is to see others come to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, which I have given scripture and guidance on. My prayer is that this book will also help others learn to hear the voice of our loving Shepherd when He comforts, strengthens, and guides.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  When I am faced with difficult times, I sometimes will remember the words of my poems and devotionals assuring readers of all the great things that God does for us, His comfort, His guidance, and His strength. I experienced and learned each of these things first-hand in my life before writing this book. After writing it, it has concreted these truths deeper into my soul.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My daughter, Hannah Linder, wrote and published her first Christian-fiction novel at the age of twelve (under the pen name Willowy Whisper). Now, at the age of twenty-one, she has published ten novels. With God's great help, she has obtained a literary agent and has two novels currently before publishers for consideration. At present, she is writing her fourteenth novel. I have witnessed her passion and drive as a writer and this has been a great inspiration for me!
