Product Description

In the struggle for healing, when do you fight and when do you surrender?

Ryan Alexander-Coe is a talented photojournalist who has been on assignment all over the world. But when her two sons choose to live with their father after her divorce, Ryan must give her career up for a small-town newspaper job in order to be near them.

Life spirals out of control when her fifteen-year-old son is arrested. Desperation--both over the fact that she cannot believe her son commited this crime and that he refuses to talk to her--sends her anger level soaring . . . and eventually sends her storming into Dr. Sullivan Crisp's office in search of ways to cope with her anger. Sully is in town assisting at one of his clinics and continuing his search for Belinda Cox, the woman whose guilt-inducing counseling caused the death of his wife and daughter. When Sully's search ends in disaster, both he and Ryan will have to fully rely on God--rather than themselves--to survive these storms.

Publisher's Description

Her life was spinning out of control. A mix of anger and emptiness defined her. Desperate for true peace, she headed to a place of rest - the healing sands.

Ryan Coe feels lost - her marriage is over, her kids are living with their dad, her God-life is silent, and her patience is practically non-existent. To top it off, her once exciting job as a photojournalist has been reduced to taking pictures of enchilada festivals and B-level actors. But when she arrives at the scene of a crime and sees her son's face through her zoom lens, her world crashes. Her only mission - to find out who really did this and why they framed her.

But before she can help anyone. Ryan's got to get her anger in check. She turns to Sullivan Crisp's Healing Choices clinic, but even that doesn't go according to plan. Quirky and unusual don't even begin to describe Sully and she soon realizes that he isn't the quick-fix therapist she was hoping for. Between his unorthodox counseling  and a group of women who are the first real friends she's had in a long time, Ryan begins to realize it's not control she's for, but something much more powerful.

This is the 3rd book in the Sullivan Crisp novel series. I would suggest reading them in order as some of the storylines would be hard to pick up in Book 3 alone, but I do know of some friends that started with this book and still enjoyed it. I love Sully Crisp and his unusual method of helping people (and himself). I highly recommend this book!

Having read the first two books in this series I was anxioius to read the third. This was a captivating book using a psycologist as the main character. Though he remained the main character each story was unique.

I enjoyed this third insallment of the Sullivan Crisp novels. I enjoyed the first two more, but it was good nonetheless. The book was well-written and the plot was interesting, however, it was a little hard to "get into it" at first. But if you've read the the first two novels, you'll definitely want this one as well.

This is the third book in the Sullivan Crisp Series and I have read each one, thoroughly enjoyed each one, and can honestly say I have learned something with each one. You do not have to read the entire series to appreciate the individual stories, but if you do read the series you get to see Sully learn along with you.I related strongly to the main female character as I am a single mother of two sons. I highly recommend this book to everyone and plan on loaning out my copy to others. I was absorbed in this story from the first page.
