The story story starts out with Brad and Sara getting married. Ezekiel and Michelle have been married for a while. Michelle is wanting a baby. Lenore, she wonders if she will ever get married.

Grandpa Willis is recovering from a heart attack. Lenore helps out with him and the farm when she isn't teaching school.

Ezekiel wants to move to a New York settlement to start a new job. Michelle doesn't want to move and leave the friends she's made the the security she has found. Ezekiel works in his family's greenhouse and hates it. He always has.

Sara is still looking for her birth dad but she's about ready to give it up. She and Brad are starting a Bible study for new Christians in their home. The first night a gentleman comes that talks about running around with a group of Amish teens when he's young. He mentions a girl by the name of Rhoda. Sara perks up because that's the name of her mom. Is he her father? She wants to ask him more questions the time wasn't right.

Grandpa Willis seems to be getting better. He is talking much clearer. He can walk on his own with a cane. One day Grandma Lapp found him on the floor. He was unable to be saved. Grandma wondered if she'd have to move in with her son.

There were many changes for everyone after he passed away.

What information did Lenore and Sara find in the jar that was buried in the garden? Did Lenore ever get married? Did Michelle ever have a baby? Did Sara find her father? These questions and many others will be answered when you read the book.

This is the third and final book of the series. I enjoyed reading all three books but I really loved The Healing Jar book the most. Each book in the series focuses on one character with all the same characters and new ones throughout all three books. The series should be read in order so to keep up with what is going on with all the characters. After Lenore Lapp's grandfather suffered a stroke, she moves in to help her grandmother take care of her grandfather. Jesse Smucker is a widower with a baby daughter who moved from another community after the death of his wife. Lenore falls in love with Jesse and accepts his proposal of marriage, but then Jesse backs out because for him it would be a marriage of convenience. A mother for his baby girl. Just like Michelle and Sara, Lenore discovered a prayer jar with Bible verses in it and wonders who put them there. Finally in the third book, we find out who was behind the prayers jars and hiding them. So who is the person who hid the prayer jars, did Jesse change his mind about marrying Lenore and will she accept again? Read the book and find out. Read the whole series The Hope Jar, The Forgiving Jar and The Healing Jar. Wanda E. Brunstetter is an excellent author and one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book and many of the author's other books.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

I won a copy of this book from Goodreads giveaways, I was not required to give a favorable review. This is a beautiful story of family and how they go through many changes of their lives. This is the third book in the series, and even if you haven't read the other two there is enough written with the story to understand the relationships of the characters in the story. This time is based more on Lenore's life while living with her grandparents and helping her grandmother take care of her grandfather after his stroke. She meets a new young widow father in their district who is raising his little girl after her mother passed away. They become friends and then Lenore and her grandmother help take care of the little girl while her dad Jesse works. Sara & Brad are settling down as a married couple with her running her flower shop and his duties as a minister. And Melissa and her husband Ezekiel and their decisions as a married couple. Thank you for this wonderful story and hope to read more about this wonderful family and extended family.

I enjoyed reading all 3 books in The Prayer Jar series. Wanda Brunstetter is a talented writer and all 3 ladies in these books have a need and purpose for reading the notes they find in the jars-each lady going through every day struggles in their life. I encourage you to read these books and make your own prayer jar.

Hope and tribulation, faith and perseverance.....Lenore Lapp, the Amish school teacher must face them all. Here is another wonderful Wanda Brunstetter novel, third in the Prayer Jar series. They are stand alone novels, but it sure is more fun to follow the lives by reading the books in series. There is much to learn and contemplate concerning our own walk of faith, and you are sure to find that there are many ways to walk the walk of faith...hopefully, you will find your own personal way.
