Ed Venable5 Stars Out Of 5September 26, 2010Ed VenableDr. Chafer presents a clear explanation of the Holy Spirit's role in the believer's sanctification. He discusses the baptism, filling, and ministries of the Holy Spirit. He further discusses how the actions of the believer can grieve the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, Dr. Chafer clearly explains the concept of retaining the old nature after having received a new nature in Christ. This book is an excellent source for Christians who desire to understand the Holy Spirit's role in their spiritual growth.

Sally P Martin5 Stars Out Of 5July 27, 2006Sally P MartinIn an age when basic Christian doctine is being torn apart, this book is a gem for the hungry hearted believer who wants to grow in Christ. I will teach the book to women in the spring of 2007. Should be on every Christian's bookshelf to share with others.
Loren Senders4 Stars Out Of 5June 19, 2004Loren SendersFor those who are serious about their Christian walk, this is a must read. As always, Chafer's theology is warm and devotional yet profound in godly observation and wisdom. This a book the maturing Christian will return to many times in the course of their earthly sojourn. A great sequel read to this book would be Francis Schaeffer's, "True Spirituality." Each distinctive and yet each bringing the serious soul searcher closer to a true Biblical walk with Christ through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit.
