Ayanna5 Stars Out Of 5Happy Customer!April 13, 2019AyannaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I recently purchased this Bible. I was very happy when I received it. It shipped quickly and the Bible exceeded my expectations. The print is the perfect size for reading. It's not too small nor too big. The pages turn nicely as they are not too thin. The size is perfect for carrying in my study bag to Bible Studies and Church. The thumb indexes are great for finding books quickly. I was so happy with the purchase that I showed it to my friend. She loved it and said she really want one too. So, I ordered her one as a gift. Great Bible for a great price. Thanks Christianbook!

It is easy to read, not only because of the 10 point font, but also because of the reader friendly format, references and other helps. The HCSB is clear and understandable. Disciple of Christ2 Stars Out Of 5Misleading ReviewsDecember 14, 2018Disciple of ChristQuality: 3Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2Granted, I am critical when it comes to the quality of my bibles, however I can honestly say, this is not what everyone is making it out to be. Unfortunately, due to a lack of understanding, many just don't understand what the word quality means anymore.
The leather isn't bad and the binding seems sturdy enough, but unfortunately that's about where the good ends. The leather is barely long enough to cover the edges of the bible when closed, possibly an attempt to save money by using the minimum amount of leather per bible. Also, bad editing and page layout really hurt this bible's value. Graphic design is key when creating page layout and overall design of any book. It would seem that the individual who designed this had little understanding of this concept. Some books end mid - page and the next begins on the following page, while other books begin on the same page that the other ended. This wouldn't be so bad, if there was a pattern or reason for doing so. But there's not, it's just completely random. A translation that was more than likely created as a means to grab the attention of individuals of our impulsive buying society, always seeking the newest product of innovation.
Worth the 15 dollars being asked at the moment, but nowhere near worth the 60 being asked normally. Quality has become a fleeting idea as corporate greed increases.
