I bought this same one a while back from CBD..about a year ago. Its honestly one of the nicest Bibles I own...and I am a collector, so I have over 100 Bibles easily. Lots of notes, color pictures, concordance, many helps, cross references, beautiful quality, it even won an award. They say the CSB one that is recently out has over 15,000 study notes. But I can't seem to find where it states how many are in the HCSB. Both Bibles are put out by same people, I think. They should have named the new one something else. Its too confusing. My only complaint is the pages are stuck together in too many places....on the edges...have to separate them carefully.

This is an astonishing study bible. From cover to cover it exudes quality of craftsmanship and ideal. The HCSB is cross between dynamic and formal equivalence so you get the best of both worlds, and the full colour is just amazing. It is the most stylish and colourful bible on the market and the price is extraordinarily worth it. I find myself using it a lot as a comparison to my other bible (KJV and ESV).
It has great notes and some very good articles. The material (the Mantova Brown Simulated leather feels very supple and looks great. The feels in hands is almost as when you pick it up you don't want to put it down. That was the first thing that caught my attention, the cover. The full colour maps are well done, the articles, timelines and textual commentaries I find to be very helpful and the translation itself is very good. I showed it my niece and she wants one, actually every I've showed it to wants one. A very good bible that I think every serious bible student should have on their shelf, honestly. Keep up the great work Holman.
