I am using this delightful book at my nanny job and having a blast. Next week we will be making envelopes, do some cool exercises, make a time capsule and lots more. We have already used this book making the scrubs, painting nails, made bath bombs.
Ideas, crafts and projects range from easy to a little more complected. I found most of the supplies were easy to get- you probably have them around the house. Lots of pictures of girls having fun! A very girly book!! Lots of chapters with plenty of ideas for parties. Why not use some for a slumber party!! or have a spa party with loads of ideas , and recipes. This book features nine short chapters.Chapter 4 has a wealth of recipes on homemade scrubs, rosewater iced tea, peppermint pattie soap, and hair mask. The ingredients are easy to find and the steps can be followed even by a 5 years old (with very little help).
A very girly book. I am getting one for the little girl I nanny she will love it!!
I am giving it to a little girl age 10 and telling her she must do all the ideas before Summer is over!
JanetBelton, TXAge: 45-54Gender: Female3 Stars Out Of 5To Help Your Daughter Find New Things to DoApril 7, 2016JanetBelton, TXAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 3Value: 3Meets Expectations: 3101 Ways to Have Fun is a book of ideas for girls transitioning from toys to teens. Girls this age sometimes struggle with what to do with their spare time. This book is meant to jump start their creativity and help them find happy things to do.
The book is divided into nine categories of activity: alone, with a best friend, with lots of friends, makeovers, sleepovers, parties, fundraising, exercise, and crafts. Its full of bright pictures and trendy talk. Each idea includes an estimated time frame, list of supplies, and just enough instruction to get things going. If your daughter has a tendency to complain shes bored, you may appreciate this book.
While the book is fun, attractive, and has some great ideas, parents may have concerns about some of those ideas, especially depending on their daughters age or level of maturity. And some activities, particularly the best friend activities, assume the child has grown up in one location with one specific set of people. These activities wont work for military kids, ministry kids, or foster kids who move often.
I thank Zondervan for sending me a complimentary copy of this Faithgirlz book in exchange for my honest review.
