Tell us a little about yourself. I'm a relatively new author. I wrote and published my first book in 2011 titled My Life at the World Trade Center giving my testimony of how the Lord spared my life in both attacks on the towers. I worked there for over 20 years. After that book, I wrote about my life from birth to age 17 telling of how the Lord kept us through so much adversity and hardship. Then I wrote about life growing up in the Pentecostal Church, titled The Black Pentecostal Church: My View from the Pew. Now, this my fourth book, Happy in a Sad World I convey life experiences and Bible stories of how God can keep you in this dark and evil world. I hope everyone receive who read my books will be revived, renewed and restored in this walk of life. I pray everyone will see the hand of God in everyday the Lord allows us to live. What was your motivation behind this project? This particular project, Happy in a Sad World, I prayed the Lord will restore hope to the hopeless. Reading of how to love again when one might think it is impossible to love. How to live again, when one might feel after great loss or disappointments, might live again. Reading of how the Lord does not want us to be poor, depending on debt and credit, and needing to borrow all the time. The Lord is well able to sustain us and keep us in this life right here on earth. So I wrote this book telling of all the pitfalls the Lord helped me to climb out of and to thrive.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? When people finish reading this book, I pray they walk away encouraged and more knowledgeable through the Word of God to walk in the newness of life. I want people to share this book with others and people will seek the Lord in all that they do.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? 'Going back over my life experiences, I myself was even awed at how the Lord brought me out of several circumstances. The Lord is able to do all things, more than we can even ask or think.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Of course my source was the Holy Bible, many ministers down through the years, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who picked me up out of a horrible pit and established my goings. The Lord loves all of us and what He has done for me, He can do for you.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: When I wrote my first book, I had no idea I would write three more. The Lord placed experiences back to my remembrance and all I can do is tell about them. The Lord is a mighty, mighty good God. He loves us with an everlasting love; and He can give you peace beyond all understanding.
