Publisher's Description

The Saga of the generations continued; the sixth and seventh has joined with the fifth which amounts to a whole lot of changes. The family had scattered, in many directions through death, migration, immobility, age related factors and other reasons, but praise God; He is still alive; the same yesterday, today, and forever. The links that have been broken will only be for a short while as soon, many of us will be joining those who already left. The Old Naseberry Tree will probable outlived us all; and the next generation will be influenced by something else. But we had a wonderful life as children. We will continue to preserve the history of 'Life Under The old Naseberry Tree' until God remove the tie that binds. We have no complaints or regrets, and are blessed with a treasure trove of memories to fill a world of 'whoever wants to know' basket, because God kept us; Yes He kept us from all the dangers that lurked around us when we were small and throughout our adult years. We give Him all the glory, we thank and praise Him for covering us under His blood for ever and ever, Amen Mrs. Hortense M. Jenkins and her husband Mark lives in Queens, New York.     Tell us a little about yourself.   I am a born again Christian. I am a motivated woman who loved to be challenged. I love to teach and influenced others. My deepest desire is to work with children to teach them values and self worth. When values and self worth are entwined the results are amazing.

What was your motivation behind this project?  What motivates me to write this book followed after the first one is to emphasized the importance of keeping the family together. Once families are kept together history will maintain its purpose. Regardless of what life dished out there should be a reminder that the 'fabric of family ties' can never be worn out. If that is realized, it makes no difference how weak the link is, it can be strengthened; as long as it is not broken.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Instil family values. Return to our Creator; believing that 'faith can move mountain' Technology is very important to a nation and its occupants but history should not be swept under the rug or lost in the 'traffic of time and technology.' We must be reminded that 'yesteryear is the hinges on which tomorrow's doors are hanging.' Our history must be maintained.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  I went to my home of origin and was asked to speak at a children's day conference, and many of the ten and seventeen year olds did not understand some of my illustrations that I knew about from the same school that I went to. At the close of my speech I dedicate my first book to them, as there were three high schools combined. I left the conference overwhelmed by the lack of experience the students has in certain areas of their curriculum. I re-emphasized the importance of having God in their lives, as He is the Greatest Director anyone could hoped for.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  My influences came from spending quality time in the presence of God. My sources of inspiration came from removing ALL distractions, tv. phones, radio, and people. We must be still and listen and recognize God's voice. The Holy Spirit teaches me when to do and not to do, and I tried to obey. Habakkuk 2 vs:1-2 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what He will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved, And the Lord answered me and said; "Write the Vision.........."

Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know:  The pain it causes me when we who called ourselves children of God and we do nothing about the many wrong things that overwhelmed our society. We are so afraid to open our mouth and talk about God for fear of what may happened to us. When He said speak boldly we tend to shut up or whisper behind close doors. God must be worshiped in Spirit and in Truth. Yet we are afraid to speak His Truth. He Paid the price at Calvary, I don't OWE no body Nothing, For Christ I live, for Christ I die. I will speak His Truth until my GOD said come on home. None of my books may not make it to the Best Seller List. But I am Grounded Firm and Deep in my Savior's Love. I Glory in the Cross.
