Henry Halley (1874–1965) was a Christian pastor who felt called to help people read, understand, and love God’s Word. After memorizing significant portions of the Bible, he started writing down his insights. With numerous revisions and printings, Halley’s Bible Handbook has now sold more than six million copies around the world.

Jean E. Syswerda is a former editor and associate publisher. She led in the development of the best-selling NIV Women’s Devotional Bible and served as an editor for the highly popular Read with Me Bible. Jean and her husband, John, have three children and six grandchildren and live in Allendale, Michigan.
